Description
OR RN – First Assist (RNFA) | Travel/Contract
Shift: Days, 4x10s (Mon–Fri; 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, no fixed day off)
On-Call: 1 night/week
Role Overview:
RN First Assist supporting surgical procedures across orthopedic (including totals), gynecology, and general surgery. Responsible for both scrub and circulate duties in an acute care OR setting.
Requirements:
- Active RN license – Required
- RNFA certification (approved course) – Required
- CNOR – Required
- BLS & ACLS – Required
- Professional Liability Insurance – Required
- 3+ years scrub & circulate experience – Required
- Minimum 3 years recent OR specialty experience (within last 3 months) – Required
- Experience in ortho, ortho totals, GYN, and general surgery – Required
- Annual surgeon review – Required
- PALS – Preferred
