Description

CLINICAL INTERVIEWS
UNIT: Med Surg 2 Cardiac

Certs Required: BLS (PREFERRED: NIHSS )
Experience Required: 2 years. PIV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, chest tubes, stable trach management, knowledge of patients on bipap/cpap. Drips: insulin and heparin.

First time traveler: YES

Patient Types:
High Acuity patients, Cardiac Step Down (no step down at this facility), post procedure cardiac patients, PD, secondary stroke unit, CHF, ENSRD, telemetry required, read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently, general MS

RN: Days – 1:4-5; Nights 1:5
Typically 3 RNs per shift; 2 Night shift

Weekend rotation: every 3rd (default)

Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No, low census in 4 hour increments (mainly nights)

Pros

I have worked with this company for 3, along with a few others, and they have been great! They seem to be very appreciative of their staff and always sending appreciative gifts to you. I can’t say much now that they have joined TotalMed, but am looking forward to see what develops.

Cons

Rates are not always the best, would be nice to have a few more eastern and southern state options, like Mississippi or North Carolina cities
