Job Title: RN – MS/Telemetry Float Pool (Night Shift)
Facility Type: St. Louis MO 63131

Shift Details:

  • Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 – 07:15)
  • Start Date: 3–4 weeks (based on compliance clearance)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per week (36 hours)

    Job Overview:
    We are hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg–Telemetry Float Pool position. This role requires flexibility to float across multiple units, including medical, renal, oncology, neuro, and cardiology, providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
  • Patient Ratios:
  • Days/Weekends: 1:5–6
  • Nights: 1:6

    Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry experience
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals not accepted (must live outside 75-mile radius)
  • Pending license accepted
  • Certifications Required:
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • IV Start and Telemetry skills required
  • Preferred Certification:
  • NIHSS

    Technical Skills:
  • EPIC experience strongly preferred
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care across multiple units
  • Float between medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, and cardiology units as needed
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and care
  • Utilize lift devices (training provided for ceiling lifts and bladder scanner)
  • Floating Requirements:
  • Required to float within scope based on facility needs
  • May be pre-assigned to a unit for a portion of the contract
  • Float pool nurses must call a recorded line up to 1 hour before shift to receive assignment.

    Scheduling Requirements:
  • Every other weekend OR 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Includes holiday rotation
  • Block scheduling: Not available
  • Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
  • Additional Information:
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Parking: Free
  • No on-call requirement
