Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts)
 

Job Summary:
 

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join a Long Term Care (LTC) setting. The OTA will provide skilled rehabilitative care to patients with cognitive and physical impairments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
 

Schedule Details:

• Shift: Monday–Friday (8-hour days)
• Start Time: Flexible (must begin between 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
• On-Call: Not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Perform treatments including:
  • ADL retraining
  • Therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Use of assistive devices and modalities
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising OT
• Document all treatments and patient interactions in the electronic medical record
• Maintain accurate records of treatment minutes per regulatory guidelines
• Participate in care planning, team meetings, and case conferences
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress
• Assist with discharge planning and recommendations
• Support procurement of DME and therapy supplies
• Supervise students as directed by the Occupational Therapist

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience
• LTC or SNF experience required
• Active Missouri OTA License (must be in hand at submission)
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care standards
