Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
Location: Los Angeles, California
Shift: Days
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 4/29 (subject to change based on credentialing timeline)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a strong clinical background, adaptability, and excellent communication skills to support high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Step Down Unit setting
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Shift & Scheduling:
- Day shift
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required based on facility needs (must be open to floating to various units)
- Up to 4 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
Requirements:
- Active California RN License (must be current and valid)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Step Down or relevant specialty experience
- Certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Fire Card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Experience with Epic EMR is a plus
