MedSurg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
Location: Los Angeles, California
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) or Days (7:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 4/29 (subject to change based on credentialing timeline)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong clinical skills in both Med Surg and Telemetry, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to changing patient care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to MedSurg and Telemetry patients
- Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and patient conditions
- Perform IV insertions and manage ongoing IV therapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, policies, and patient safety standards
Shift & Scheduling:
- Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required based on facility needs (must be open to floating across units)
- Up to 4 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
Requirements:
- Active California RN License (must be current and valid)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg and Telemetry experience
- Required experience with:
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- IV insertion
- Certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Fire Card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epic EMR is a plus
