Description
- Role: Registered Nurse – CVICU
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Start Date: 05/18/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12 hrs (Days/Nights) | Every other weekend
- Unit: Cardiothoracic Surgery CVICU
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 (may go up to 1:3 based on acuity)
Requirements
- 2+ years recent acute care experience (within last 3 years)
- Strong CVICU experience required
- Epic charting experience required (recent)
- Experience with CRRT (NxStage) required
- Travel experience required
- WI or Compact RN License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Key Skills
- Ventilator management, ABGs, airway management
- Cardiac drips & vasoactive titration
- Arterial lines, central lines, PICC
- Post cardiac surgery care (CABG, valve repair/replacement)
- Hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Swan-Ganz)
- Devices: IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO
- Dysrhythmia interpretation & telemetry
