Description

Unit Notes:- 24 beds - MedSurg with Tele capability on all beds **** Heavy on Tele****- Adults and Peds, but travelers do not take peds - these are assigned to perm staff-Must be strong in Neuro and Cardiac skills- 2 years of experience required - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required- PALS preferred- Shifts: 12 hours - 36 hour guarantee with 3 cancellations- EMR: Sunrise Allscripts- Support staff on unit: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs and PCTs- Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5 days; 1:6 nights; 1:4 peds -also based on level of acuity- Nurse managers don't provide patient care, but they do rounds- Float to all MS units and ICU (taking MS overflow patients)- Hospitalist in house 24/7- No IV team- Resp Therapist 24/7- Pharmacy 24/7- Scrub color: any color except all black- Scrubs not provided Cancellation Policy:3 per 13 weeks Charting System:Allscripts
