Description
Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS)
Department: CDI & Denial Prevention
Location: Remote (Local Traveler – PST hours)
Duration: Long-term assignment
Schedule: 5x/week | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (PST) | Flexible weekends/on-call
Requirements:
- CA RN License required
- 3–5 years CDI experience in an acute care setting
- Strong background in Med-Surg, Telemetry, Trauma, or ICU
Preferred Certifications:
- CCDS, CDIP, or CCS (not required)
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CDI practices and clinical documentation guidelines
- Experience with MS-DRG / APR-DRG
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Solid clinical foundation and critical thinking ability
Additional Info:
- Fully remote role reporting to CDI team
- Opening due to short staffing
