Description
Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and support residents with daily activities while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide oral hygiene and personal care support
- Assist with feeding and monitor food and fluid intake
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
- Help residents with mobility, including transfers and ambulation
- Reposition residents regularly to prevent skin breakdown
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Document care provided in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Required Qualifications
- Active New York CNA Certification (listed in NY Nurse Aide Registry)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (minimum 100 hours)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Nursing Home setting
