Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)

Location: UNC Health Pardee – Hendersonville, NC
Start Date: 05/18/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: Up to 36 hrs/week (not guaranteed during orientation/holidays)

Shift Details

• 12-hour day shifts (Mon–Fri rotating)
• 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM (morning huddle at 06:45 AM)
• First week orientation: 5–8 hour shifts
• Staff meeting: 4th week of every month
• Facility may cancel 1 shift biweekly without penalty

Call Requirements

• Weeknight call: 1 assigned weeknight per week (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Weekend call: approx. every 6–8 weeks (Sat 7 AM – Mon 7 AM)
• Holiday:
  • 1 x 24-hour call per contract
  • 1 x 12-hour holiday shift

Note: Black Friday is not paid at holiday rate

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license (NC Staff Pool license required at offer or in process)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years OR experience + 1 successful travel assignment
• EPIC experience within last 6 months (required)

Required OR Experience

Must be strong in:

• General surgery
• Ortho & joint
• Urology, Endo
• Robotics (DaVinci)
• Bariatrics, OB/GYN, ENT
• Cataracts/retina (mandatory)
• Vascular cases (thrombectomy)
• C-sections (mandatory)
