Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) – Days

Job Description

• Provide competent nursing care in the Operating Room according to standards of practice.
• Deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary team approach.
• Maintain an environment of caring and concern for patients and staff, emphasizing patient-focused care and customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of circulating experience in the Operating Room.
• Proficient in orthopedic procedures, specifically total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes, and replacements.
• Proficient in general surgery, neurology, vascular, gynecology, and urology procedures.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license verified through Nursys.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Operating Room nursing, current within 1 year.
• Two supervisory references with dates of employment.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible).
• Applicants who were direct employees of the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible.
• Facility-provided scrubs dress code.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner.
