Description
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU provides direct patient care to individuals recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. The RN is responsible for monitoring patient condition, ensuring safe recovery, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients post-surgery and assess vital signs
- Provide immediate post-anesthesia care and support recovery
- Develop, implement, and update patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as required
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
- Document patient progress and response to treatment
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS required
- NIHSS preferred/required (as per facility)
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Education:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree (ASN)
Shift:
- As per facility requirement
