🩺 Position Overview

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR RN)
• Shift: Day Shift – 5x8s (07:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Self-scheduling
• On-Call: Required (1–2 days/week + some weekends)
• Location: Silver City, NM 

🔪 Surgical Case Mix

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics & Total Joints
• Endoscopic/Laparoscopic
• OB/GYN
• Ophthalmology
• Podiatry 

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care across multiple specialties
• Maintain sterile field using aseptic and scrub techniques
• Assist with surgical procedures and equipment handling
• Ensure patient safety and proper documentation
• Work collaboratively with surgical and interdisciplinary teams 

✅ Required Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of OR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted ✅
• Active NM License or Compact License (Required)
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • PALS (Required)
• Experience with Meditech (Required) 

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• Scrub & aseptic technique (Required)
• Preferred experience with:
  • Sterilization & instrument reprocessing
  • Case carts & crash carts
  • Scope/probe handling
  • High-level disinfection
  • Equipment documentation 

⚙️ Equipment Exposure

• Bovie, Harmonic Scalpel, Gryus
• Stryker Towers
• GYN fluid management systems
• Endoscope reprocessing (colonoscopy, EGD, fiber optics)
