Job Overview

Role: RN First Assistant (RNFA)
Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Work: Assist heart and vascular surgeons during surgery

Shift Details

Timing: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Schedule: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
Total: 40 hours/week
Weekends: Not required (unit closed)

Call Requirement

On-call: 10 days per month

Experience Required

Minimum: 2–3 years as RNFA

Skills Required (Very Important)

Must be experienced in:

Open and endoscopic vein harvesting
Assisting in major heart surgeries:
- CABG (bypass surgery)
- Valve replacements (MVR, AVR, TAVR)
Vascular procedures:
- AAA (aneurysm repair)
- Thoracic surgeries
- CEA (carotid artery surgery)

Main Responsibilities

Assist surgeon directly during operations
Control bleeding
Expose surgical area
Perform suturing
Handle tissues during surgery

Key Points

High-skill surgical role
No weekends, but on-call required
Must have strong CVOR and RNFA experience.
