Unit: SONU (Ortho/Neuro/Surg)

Unit Type: Med Surg (Medical Surgical)

Scheduling & Shifts: Shift Times: 06:45 - 19:15 Self-Scheduling: Staff can self-schedule and work with the secretary to block out schedules for the contract. Block scheduling is available, but flexibility is requested. Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period. Holiday Requirements: Required to work some holidays. On-Call/Standby: Some on-call shifts may occur due to low census, but staff are typically called back in.

Unit Notes Drip Management: Nurses must titrate drips including Heparin and Ketamine (set rate), antibiotics, and blood products. IV Management: Nurses will manage frequent IV treatments. Tele/Monitor Techs: The unit has monitor techs to read strips, but prior telemetry reading experience is preferred. The telemetry system uses [tele brand] monitors.
