Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description & Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required in specialty. First-time travelers are welcome.
- Patient Population: Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients required; neonates and infants preferred.
- Settings: Experience in outpatient, inpatient, emergency department (ED), and intensive care unit (ICU) required; NICU and PICU preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient with PACS and contrast administration required.
- Experience with biopsies and IV starts preferred.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Licensure:
- Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT CT certification required).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC certified.
- ARRT CT certification required.
- Additional Certifications (if applicable):
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on unit specifics; verify with facility.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check:
- Must be completed within 60 days of start date, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
- Includes Social Security Trace, National Criminal Search, Federal Court, Sex Offender Registry, Education Verification, and others.
- No open hits allowed; all cases must be resolved prior to start.
- Education Verification:
- Primary source verification required for Radiology/Imaging program graduation.
- High School Diploma or GED verification also required.
- Foreign equivalency evaluation required if education was obtained outside the U.S.
- Photo for Badge:
- Must meet strict facility photo requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing).
- Health Documents:
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer or declination), Flu vaccine or approved exemption.
- TB testing: Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months of start; chest x-ray if positive history.
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually, unless exempted by position.
- References:
- Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within the last 24 months (one within 12 months).
- Employment History:
- Resume/employment application with 7 years of work history required.
- Verification of all employment within the last 5 years through a third-party vendor required.
Additional Notes
- Scheduling: Candidate must be flexible and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
- Orientation & Testing:
- EPIC test and pass/fail EKG/Dysrhythmia testing may be required depending on specialty/unit.
- Candidates allowed two attempts to pass; failure may result in contract cancellation.
- Facility Policies:
- Candidates must review and sign floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment forms.
- Must complete health history form and upload prior to clearance.
- Fingerprinting:
- Required only for certain positions (Home Health and Long-Term Care). If required, must be completed in North Carolina prior to start.
