CT Technologist – Travel Assignment Overview

Submission Guidelines

• Can submit to only 1 position across the WVU system at a time
• Must live >50 miles from facility (based on driver’s license)
• Former staff:
  • Must be gone 2 years
• Former travelers:
  • If worked 1 full year, must be gone 2 years
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
• Only 2 candidates per opening allowed
  • Additional candidates may be held if positions reopen

• BLS – required
• ARRT (R) – required
• ARRT (CT) – required
• Must be certified in:
  • Radiography
  • CT

Department Overview

• # of Scanners: 6
• Floating: None (only covers CT within department)
• Radiologist On-Site: Yes
• Supervisor/Lead Tech: Yes
• RRA Usage: No

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform basic CT imaging, including:
  • Head
  • Chest
  • Abdomen
  • Extremities
• Advanced cases:
  • Level 1 Trauma
  • Stroke Perfusion
• IV Starts: Required but rare

Experience Requirements

• Must have Toshiba/Canon CT scanner experience
• Comfortable working in trauma and stroke cases

Workload

• Average ~20 scans per day

• PACS: Fuji
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment: Toshiba/Canon CT scanners

Scheduling

• No self-scheduling
• Scheduling will aim to cluster shifts together

Weekend & Holiday Requirements

• Weekends: Required
• Holidays: Not required

Call

• No call or standby requirements

Dress Code

• Scrubs: Provided (Gray)
