Registered Nurse – Pediatrics  
Location: Shiprock, NM 87420  

Pay Rate: $52 per hour plus $1,246 per week for travel stipends  
Schedule:  12 hours per shift. Shifts begin at 7:00 AM/PM, 3 shifts per week , and 4 shifts the other week. This will be a total of 7 days (84 hours) every 2 weeks. 

Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend  

Benefits:  $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare, 10 days PTO, Accrued sick days, and 11 Paid Holidays. 

Job Description: 

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated healthcare team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Shiprock, NM. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide meaningful, community-centered care in a dynamic inpatient setting serving both pediatric and medical-surgical populations. 
Requirements: 

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience (Med-Surg required) 
• Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory) 

• Certifications:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) .
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP),
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Valid Driver's license 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric and medical-surgical patients 
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment 
• Develop and implement individualized care plans 
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized treatments 
• Operate clinical equipment (cardiac monitors, IVACs, oxygen therapy, etc.) 
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams 
• Respond to emergencies (Code Blue, RRT) following AHA protocols 
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care
