IMCU/PCU Travel RN – Rochester, NY

Assignment Details

• Start Date: June 8th
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Charting System: EPIC (required)
• Floating: Required within skillset
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

Unit Overview

Join a high-acuity IMCU/PCU unit caring for patients requiring stepdown-level care. Common patient populations include:

• Long-term pulmonary patients
• ENT surgical patients
• Post-surgical stepdown patients
• Neuro, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases

Specialty Equipment & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia management
• Rapid response/code team collaboration
• Oxygen therapy & non-invasive airway management
• BiPAP & chronic vent patients
• Chest tubes, A-lines, temp pacers
• Cardiac drips (non-titration)
• Blood product administration
• Central/peripheral line management
• IV therapy & phlebotomy
• Isolation precautions

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (NY is non-compact)
• Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU/Stepdown experience
• EPIC experience required
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification preferred/required if available
• Must submit:
  • Updated resume with travel experience
  • Skills checklist matching specialty
  • Driver’s license matching demographics
  • NURSYS license verification report
  • RTO requests at time of submission

Traveler Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local RN candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
