Description
Simplifi Clinical Interviews - Manager Final Approval
Unit: Echo Tech
Experience Required: At least 4 years of echo experience at a high acuity, fast paced facilities.
Certs Required: BLS, ARDMS, CCI, RCIS
Travel Exp: First time traveler upon review
Patient Types:
CAD, hypertension, post TAVR, TEE, pediatric patients (typically 3-4 patients/week)
Patient Ratios:
1:1
Average 8-10 scans per shift depending on schedule
Required Licensure & Certifications:
Licensure: BLS and ARDMS or CCI
Skills required:
-Experience with the patient types listed above; pediatric experience preferred.
-Able to perform high-quality scans on a wide range of common echo patients.
-Quick-thinking and efficient, with good clinical judgment on when to seek support.
-Seeking a tech who consistently delivers high-level, quality imaging.
Soft skills: Flexible (having to float between clinic and hospital), self-motivated. Team player.
Support on the Unit:
Receptionist
Lead Echo Tech
3-4 techs onsite for support Monday-Friday
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
Cannon US unit in the clinic (preferred experience)
Philips equipment utilized at hospital
Floating: Between outpatient and inpatient setting.
Orientation:
Hospital orientation
2 shifts with preceptor
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Echo techs are the only techs working the weekend and it’s 1 and 3 weekends currently. Every other weekend.
On call? If so, what is that schedule?
Split call with another tech
Every weekend
1 in every 4 days for call
30 minutes response time
Shift times: Monday- Friday 8 to 5, rotating weekends 8 to 5
Schedule cycle: Will receive 4 week schedule 4 weeks in advance
Scrub Color: Any
Parking: Employee parking
General Information:
Beds: 25 exam rooms, 5 echo labs, and 3 vascular ultrasound labs
