Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 4 years of echo experience in high-acuity, fast-paced settings, including a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiac cases.

Details

  • Inpatient and outpatient echo setting, with floating between inpatient and an outpatient clinic location across the street
  • Patient types include CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, TEE, and pediatric patients (typically 3–4 pediatric patients per week)
  • 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation of approximately every other weekend
  • One weeknight on-call shift per week and one weekend on-call every 4th weekend, with a 30-minute response time requirement
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of echo experience in high-acuity, fast-paced facilities
  • Current BLS required
  • ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Proficiency performing high-quality scans across a wide range of common echo patient types
  • Pediatric echo experience preferred
  • At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration, with a second required prior to start

Additional Information

  • Perform echocardiographic studies on a diverse patient population including CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, TEE, and pediatric cases
  • Must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and the ability to recognize when to escalate or seek support
  • Consistently delivering high-level, quality imaging is essential for this role
  • First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Any scrub color is acceptable
  • Employee parking is available on-site
