Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRN:

(Weekend Coverage)

Facility: W. W. Hastings Hospital
Schedule: PRN – Saturdays & Sundays (Day Shift)
Setting: Inpatient | All Age Groups

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide weekend (PRN) coverage in an inpatient setting. The SLP will assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Provide therapy services to patients of all ages in an inpatient setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Patient Population:

• All ages: Pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Conditions include: Stroke, neurological disorders, post-surgical cases, dysphagia, cognitive impairments, and communication disorders

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active state license (Oklahoma or eligible)
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a PRN setting

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) – preferred
