Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical ICU (SICU)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Start Date: 05/18/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 3x12s | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
We are hiring an experienced SICU RN for a high-acuity travel assignment in Louisiana. Seeking candidates with strong ICU, post-op cardiac surgery, and transplant ICU experience.
Responsibilities:
- Care for critically ill Surgical ICU patients
- Manage post-op cardiac surgery and transplant recovery patients
- Monitor ventilators, drips, lines, hemodynamics, and ICU equipment
- Care for liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients
- Manage CRRT/CVVHD, arterial lines, PA catheters, and advanced ICU needs
- Float to other ICUs/stepdown units as needed
Requirements:
- Active LA or Compact RN License
- 2+ years recent ICU / SICU experience
- Transplant experience required
- Post Cardiac Surgery from OR experience required
- Travel experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
- Epic experience preferred
Additional Info:
- Ratios 1:2
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- No locals within 65 miles
- No block scheduling
