Description
Requirements – Ultrasound Tech (RDMS) | Bronx, NY
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of General Ultrasound experience (required)
- Experience in diagnostic medical sonography in an acute care setting preferred
Education
- Associate’s Degree (required)
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training if applicable)
Certifications & Licensure
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – REQUIRED (via ARDMS)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Preferred
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of general ultrasound imaging procedures
- Ability to perform accurate diagnostic scans and imaging
- Understanding of patient positioning and image optimization techniques
- Strong attention to detail and image quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced radiology/diagnostic environment
Work Requirements
- Ability to work Day shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 5x7 schedule)
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours/week)
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams
- Must be flexible for in-person or phone interviews
