Description
Registered Nurse - RN Step Down
Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Patient care in a Step Down unit with ratios:
- 3:1 for Step Down
- 5:1 for day shift
- 7:1 for night shift
- Tasks include: ACLS, pushing, pulling, lifting, medication administration, assessments, and care plans
- Emphasis on communication and teamwork
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Notes
- State license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
- Annual requirements include physical, fit test, TB test, and influenza vaccine or declination
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Color headshot photo required for onboarding
- Extended travelers beyond one year must complete a health reassessment form
