Description

Travel ER RN – Midland, TX
Location: Midland, TX
Facility: Midland Memorial Hospital
Start Date: Within 3–5 weeks (target 05/18/2026)
Shift: Nights, 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Positions: 2 openings

Position Overview:
Emergency Department RN role in a high-volume ER averaging 200+ visits per day, providing care for both adult and pediatric populations in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience
  • Experience in ER settings with 40+ bed departments and high patient volume preferred
  • Recent travel ER experience within the last 6–8 months required
  • Level II or III trauma experience required
  • Must be comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients

Required Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
  • PALS (required)
  • TNCC (required or willing to obtain)
  • NIHSS preferred

Core Clinical Skills:

  • Triage and emergency assessment
  • Trauma care (gunshot wounds, amputations, severe injuries)
  • Pediatric emergencies (asthma, seizures, burns, near drowning, poisoning, etc.)
  • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Ventilated patient care and airway management
  • IV starts, central line care, and blood product administration
  • Emergency medication administration and IV vasopressors
  • Procedural sedation monitoring
  • Splinting and orthopedic emergency care

Patient Population:

  • Neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics
  • Medical, trauma, and psychiatric emergency cases
  • High-acuity mixed ER population

Facility Details:

  • 42-bed Emergency Department
  • ~200+ daily patient visits
  • Cerner EMR (preferred experience)
  • Level II/III trauma environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must live outside 50-mile radius (no locals accepted)
  • Active license required before start (pending accepted at submission)
  • Must be willing to work holidays
  • RTO required at submission
  • On-site drug screening required (strict policy including marijuana)
