Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Occasional after-hours support for federal events (e.g., July 4th, special government functions)

Role Summary

The Nurse Manager – Occupational Health will oversee the daily operations of a federal Wellness Center supporting employee health, safety, and workforce readiness. This role integrates clinical nursing care, leadership responsibilities, compliance management, and occupational health program coordination within a federal environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Wellness Center
  • Provide ambulatory and emergency nursing care as needed
  • Lead and coordinate wellness programs (e.g., flu clinics, health screenings, preventive health initiatives)
  • Oversee AED program management (31 units) and CPR training programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal occupational health, safety, and reporting standards
  • Maintain confidential employee health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate clinic coverage
  • Prepare and submit monthly, semiannual, and annual operational reports
  • Provide medical support during high-level federal events and emergency situations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience in occupational health or ambulatory care (preferred)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a clinic, wellness center, or occupational health program
  • Prior experience in federal, government, or corporate healthcare environments
  • Strong administrative, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
