Job Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room RN (CVOR RN) – Travel/Contract

Facility & Unit

• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – BMMC
• Specialty: Open heart & vascular surgery (open + percutaneous)
• Hybrid OR experience: Preferred
  
  Key Responsibilities
• Scrub and circulate in CVOR cases (open heart & vascular)
• Assist anesthesia during induction
• Transport patients (pre-op → OR → PACU/Inpatient unit)
• Maintain sterile field and follow OR protocols
• Collaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams
• Support hybrid OR procedures when applicable
  
  Schedule & Shift
• Preferred: 5x8-hour shifts
• Option: 4x10-hour shifts (based on unit needs)
• Example shift: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Mon–Thu)
• No block scheduling (flexibility required)
  
  Call Requirements
• Weekday call: 1–2 shifts (Mon–Thu, depending on weekend call)
• Weekend call only (no scheduled weekend shifts):
  • Friday 3:00 PM → Monday 6:30 AM
  • Frequency:
    • Every 3rd weekend (if 2 travelers)
    • Every other weekend (if 1 traveler)
      
      
      Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license
    • Minimum CVOR experience (open heart strongly preferred)
    • Experience scrubbing and circulating
    • Certifications:
      • BLS (required)
      • ACLS (required)
      • CNOR (preferred)
        
        Facility Requirements & Policies
      • Radius Rule: Must live >50 miles from facility
        • Driver’s license required at submission
          
          Floating
        • May float to Main OR if needed
          
          Additional Information
        • Charting: EPIC (recent experience preferred, not required)
        • Scrub color: Navy Blue
        • Start Date: ASAP
        • Contract Length: 13 weeks
