Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray
Location
- New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type
- Temporary contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift and Hours
- Afternoons
- 8 hours per day
Job Description
- Perform a variety of routine and specialized X-Ray procedures
- Utilize appropriate scanning protocols to demonstrate necessary anatomy
- Adjust technical factors according to age-specific needs (neonate through geriatric)
- Administer oral and/or IV contrast
- Assist physicians during procedures as needed
- Complete documentation according to guidelines
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas for readiness
- Adhere to Radiation Safety and ALARA standards
- Follow hospital policies and professional standards
- Demonstrate courteous and respectful communication with all customers
Patient Population
- Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
- Certified X-Ray Technologist (ARRT certification required and must be active at time of submission)
- Illinois IEMA license (does not need to be active at time of submission or willing to obtain)
- Experience with GE equipment
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (declinations will not be approved)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner and Change Healthcare PACS
- Surgery experience
