Description

Pride Health is hiring a Cytotechnologist (Traveler) to support our client’s medical facility in Grand Rapids, MI 49503. This is a great travel opportunity with a leading healthcare organization offering consistent weekday hours.

 

Job Title: Cytotechnologist (Traveler)
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $2,813/week

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microscopically examine and diagnose gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides
  • Identify infectious, pre-malignant, and malignant disease processes
  • Perform all duties in compliance with CLIA standards
  • Document daily interpretations, including slides screened and screening hours
  • Maintain specimen integrity and accurate patient identification
  • Enter and report results into the laboratory information system
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient results in accordance with HIPAA
  • Comply with local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations
  • Participate annually in CMS-approved proficiency testing programs
  • Maintain quality and accuracy standards in all cytology procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Physical Science, or Biological Science
  • Must meet CLIA requirements (CFR 493.1483)
  • Must meet ASCP Cytotechnologist requirements
  • If not certified prior to employment, must pass ASCP registry within one year of start date
  • Licensed Florida Cytotechnologist
  • Liquid-based cytology training/certification preferred (Thin Prep and/or SurePath)
  • Strong attention to detail and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume laboratory setting
