Description

Position Details
RN - CVICU
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
Minimum 2 years CVICU experience required, including ability to recover immediate post-op CABG patients
Experienced CVICU RN with advanced device experience; able to serve as backup charge
Swan/PA catheter experience required
ECMO, IABP, Impella experience preferred (will not independently manage ECMO but must be able to work alongside perfusionist)
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Schedule: 12-Hr Nights, every other weekend and one major holiday required

Unit Specific Details
11-bed CVICU
Patient Population: Adult cardiac surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, VAD, pacemaker, AICD, etc.
Equipment: Alaris pumps, Hoyer lift, Sara Stedy, ventilators, PCA pumps, GlucoStabilizer, bedside cardiac monitoring
Support Staff: PCTs available on the unit for support
Ratio*: 1:1-2
