Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Employment Type: Contract / Travel Position

Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced cath lab environment. This role involves both scrub and circulator duties, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The technologist collaborates closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment and sterile field.
Assist physicians during cardiac procedures as a scrub and circulator.
Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Document procedures accurately using Epic electronic medical records system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning before and after procedures.
Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required.

Work Schedule & Call Requirements
Day Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (5 days/week, 8-hour shifts)
On-call required: 7–8 call shifts per month
Includes 1 weekend call rotation per month
Patient Volume
Daily caseload per technologist: 4–16 cases (varies based on workload)

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Certification required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Experience with Epic EMR system required
Strong skills in both scrub and circulating roles

Licensure
Pending state license accepted at time of submission
Additional Information
Locals not accepted (must reside outside 70-mile radius)
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
Additional RTO subject to manager approval after hiring
Scrubs provided by facility
Free onsite parking available
