Description
Job Title- CT Technologist - Freestanding Emergency Department
12-Hour Night Shift (36 hours/week) | Fri/Sat/Sun, 1900-0700
Facility Overview
- Freestanding Emergency Department (ED) with 12 ED beds providing emergency care.
- Imaging services: DX, CT, and US.
- Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility.
- Free employee parking available at the back of the facility.
- Scrub color: Black.
Department Highlights
- Average daily scans: 28 DX/CT, 10 Ultrasound.
- Staffing: Typically 2-3 technologists per shift (1 Ultrasound, 2 Dual DX/CT). Team-oriented culture.
- Patient types/common diagnoses: Emergency cases including MVC, SOB, falls, injuries, DVTs.
- Minimum experience: 1 year in specialty (first-time travelers considered based on experience).
Key Requirements
- Dual Modality DX/CT Tech: Skilled in both DX and CT.
- Certifications: BLS and ARRT RT(R)(CT).
- Technology/EMR: EPIC; Phillips ISite/PACS.
- Equipment: Client CT Scanner, Siemens S2000 US machine, Shimadzu XR.
Scheduling & Commitments
- Shifts: 7p-7:30a (custom: 1900-0700 Fri/Sat/Sun). Every weekend required.
- On-call: 3 shifts/month (12-hour; traveler selects dates) across two freestanding ED facilities.
- Holidays: Travelers work 75%.
- RTO: Manager approval.
- Floating: Limited to 2 nights/month on-call for two freestanding EDs.
Orientation & Support
- 3 days departmental orientation.
