Outpatient Pediatrics Registered Nurse  
Location: Shiprock, NM 

Pay Rate: $50 per hour plus $1,246 per week for travel stipends  
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 shifts per week (Monday through Friday). 

Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend 

Benefits:  $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare, 10 days PTO, Accrued sick days, and 11 Paid Holidays. 

Job Description: 

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) clinic in Shiprock, NM. Requirements: 

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
• Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)  
  • ACLS (AHA)  
  • PALS (AHA)
• Driver's License
• Strong clinical and communication skills in pediatric outpatient care 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform patient intake, assessments, and triage for pediatric patients (0–18 years). 
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments with pediatric dosing accuracy. 
• Conduct vital signs, developmental screenings, and routine health evaluations. 
• Assist with procedures, including blood draws and diagnostic testing. 
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for acute and chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes). 
• Educate families on nutrition, safety, growth, and disease management. 
• Provide guidance on behavioral and mental health concerns such as ADHD. 
• Collaborate with pediatricians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care. 
• Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient clinic operations. 
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care that builds trust and comfort.
