Description
LTC RN Supervisor: Must have 2 years recent experience in a supervisory position
Long Term Care Experience: The Long Term Care RN will provide long term care for patients who are no longer hospitalized but still need nursing care for an extended period.
The LTC RN will need to administer medication, oversee treatments and ensure patients' medical records are detailed and accurate.
The LTC RN should be capable of operating in higher nurse to patient ratios, while overseeing treatments and complying with prescribed therapies of each patient.
Special skills/Responsibilities:
1.
Think critically, assess and de-escalate situations: handling staffing during shift change, rounding, assessing all residents with a change in condition, accident and incident reporting.
2.
Set assignments for RNs, LPNs, CNAs at facility - Oversee Nursing Model for assigned unit.
3.
Admissions (up to 4 per day, typically late afternoon or early evening) & Discharges
4.
Initiating IV fluids
5.
Phlebotomy
Facility Info: facilty has 30 bed Peds unit, 30 bed SAR unit, 18 bed ventilator unit, and 6 LTC units that house 40 residents per unit.
Ratios: Will not take a patient load unless critical staffing levels requires it
Shift: 7p-730a, 36hrs & 48hrs.
No Scheduling Requests.
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other Weekend & Every other Holiday Required
Certs & Licensee: AHA BLS | NY License
EMR: Point Click Care & some paper charting
