Description
Position: CVICU Travel RN – Sacramento, CA
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Travel RN for a 13-week contract working 12-hour day shifts (36 hours/week, every other weekend, first to float). This role is in a high-acuity Cardiovascular Surgical ICU with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, requiring strong critical care skills and the ability to work independently.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of CVICU experience and one prior travel assignment. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with CABG, Impella, IABP, TAVR, CRRT, ventilators, and EKG interpretation is essential.
The unit uses Cerner EMR and provides full interdisciplinary support, including charge nurses, RT, and in-house intensivists. Candidates must be flexible with floating and scheduling. A DYS exam is required prior to contract signing.
