Job Title: Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry (Night Shift)
Contract Length: 8 Weeks (05/18/2026 – 07/11/2026)
Schedule: Deferred Schedule | Night Shift
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Overtime:

• Daily OT after 24 hours (multiplier based)
• Weekly OT after 40 hours (multiplier based)
  On-Call: Not Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced 32-bed adult and geriatric surgical unit. The nurse will provide high-quality patient care for trauma and acute medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring and administration of specialized medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and older adult patients on a surgical/acute care unit
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe and effective care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to cardiac changes
• Administer medications, including heparin drips and other acute therapies as ordered
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Utilize specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Documented MedSurg/Telemetry experience required (checklist must be provided)
• Strong ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment
• Experience with trauma and acute care patients
• No requested time off during contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Skilled Nursing or Rehab experience
• Prior NICHE training
• Experience working with geriatric populations
