Location: Columbia, MO 65212

Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Start date: 06/08/2026
Contract duration: 13 weeks(with possible extension)
Position type: Travel (radius rule 50 miles)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will be expected to float between Med/Surg and MS/Telemetry units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult Med/Surg patients with diverse medical conditions
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products safely
• Manage and maintain IV lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Perform wound care and utilize wound vac systems
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
• Assist with respiratory care including oxygen therapy and tracheostomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain infection control standards and use appropriate PPE
• Float to Med/Surg and MS/Telemetry units as required
• Participate in rapid response/code teams when necessary

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience (1.5 years may be considered)
• AHA - BLS certification required
