Description

RN Travel Infusion

Oklahoma City, OK

Days 

 

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with a solid understanding of professional nursing practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in administering PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications.
  • Skilled in initiating, regulating, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products.
  • Strong documentation and patient response tracking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to diverse patient and visitor needs, including cultural and language considerations.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with patient education regarding chemotherapy and infusion therapies.
  • Ability to perform minor diagnostic procedures and assist during conscious sedation.
  • Delegation skills to support staff and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher degree (preferred).
  • Current RN licensure issued by the licensing authority, with multistate compact (eNLC) preferred.
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and chemotherapy immunotherapy administration.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification is highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications by the American Heart Association.
  • Valid RN license in good standing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to patient safety and detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to patient needs, including follow-up care and phone triage.

Shift varies between 8-12 hours shifts, must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Current chemotherapy certification with at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience required. Requires ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
