Description

Job Title: CT Technologist

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details: 12hr Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) | Weekend Position | On-call 2–3 shifts/month | 75% Holidays

Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures in a high-volume radiology department. This role includes routine and specialized CT imaging, patient care, and collaboration with radiology and clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely results.

Facility Overview

  • 373 licensed beds (344 Acute, 29 Inpatient Rehab)
  • No Trauma Designation
  • Stroke Accredited Facility
  • Full Radiology Services: CT, MRI, X-ray, IR, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine

Department Overview

  • Average inpatient census: ~400
  • 160 studies/day (weekdays), 120 (weekends)
  • Cardiac CT imaging performed 7 days/week (day shift)
  • CT-guided invasive procedures and anesthesia-supported cases

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans including multi-phase and perfusion imaging
  • Conduct stroke imaging and colorectal studies
  • Start peripheral IVs and administer contrast
  • Perform venous and arterial phase scanning
  • Assist with CT-guided procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging
  • Document procedures accurately in EMR

Patient Population

  • ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technology) with CT registry
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • TeraRecon experience (preferred, not required)

Skills Required

  • IV insertion
  • Multi-phase and advanced CT imaging
  • Stroke/perfusion imaging
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care

Technology & Equipment

  • EMR: EPIC (Radiant RIS)
  • PACS: Philips iSite
  • CT Scanners: Siemens Definition AS40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge+
  • Power Injectors: Bayer/Medrad

Department Support

  • Guest Services/Transport for patient movement

Floating

  • No floating required

Orientation

  • 1 day administrative onboarding
  • 2 days to 1 week departmental orientation
