Unit Information: West Valley Medical Center, Occupational Therapist
Tell us about the unit(s):
· Number of Beds – Entire Hospital; 13 ICU beds, 27 MS beds, 10 Ortho Spine Beds, Behavioral Health Unit, 2 same surgical suites.
· Number of Staff – Therapy Services: 1 FT PT, 1 FT PTA, 1 FT OT (this position), 1 FT OTA, several PRN staff.
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 PT, 1 PTA, 1 OT, 1 OTA.
o Night Shift - On-Call support for late surgical cases.
· Patient Ratios – Varies.
· Type of equipment - Standard.
· EMR – Meditech.
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· 2 Years working experience in an acute facility
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Evaluations and treatments of patients.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors
· Idaho Occupational Therapy License
· BLS
Floating Area(s):
· All therapists support all units where an eval is ordered, may also support rec therapy occasionally.
