Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the surgical team, the Surgical Technician provides essential support during surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, ensuring availability of sterile instruments and supplies, and functioning as a scrub technician throughout procedures.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up operating rooms with required surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons during procedures as a scrub technician
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Operate sterilizers and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments
• Adjust operating tables and equipment as needed during procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure proper cleaning and restocking of operating rooms post-procedure
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and patients

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (NBSTSA preferred)
• Recent operating room experience required
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques

Preferred Experience:

Experience in one or more of the following specialties:

• Orthopedic Trauma
• Neuro Surgery
• Spine Surgery
• Gynecology
• Urology
