Description
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Shift: Friday – Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Schedule: Full-Time (3x12-hour shifts)
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist works under the general supervision of a Radiologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on both ambulatory and hospital patients. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures as ordered by physicians or licensed providers
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams
- Operate MRI equipment and ensure optimal image quality
- Monitor patient safety throughout procedures
- Follow established imaging protocols and safety standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
- Less than 1 year of MRI or related imaging experience preferred
Certifications & Licenses:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire/transfer)
- One of the following required:
- ARRT (MR) – Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- ARRT (R) – Radiography
- ARMRIT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
