Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: North Bergen, New Jersey
Schedule: Day Shift (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hrs/week (5 days)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (organ imaging, function studies, etc.)
- Operate and evaluate images using PACS system
- Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff
- Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Maintain accurate records of radioactive materials (receipt, use, disposal)
- Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment
- Follow NRC, State, and JCAHO guidelines
- Perform clerical tasks using systems like EPIC, Teletracking
- Maintain cleanliness and contamination-free environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Valid NJDEP license (required)
Work Environment:
- Hospital-based role
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- No floating required
- May rotate between Cardiology and PET/CT
