Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly adaptable and experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to support multiple inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to provide high-quality care across varying patient populations and acuity levels, including overflow support in critical care and emergency settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care across multiple units, including Medical-Surgical and Telemetry
• Float between assigned units as needed, including support for patient overflow in ICU and Emergency Department settings
• Monitor and assess patients, including those requiring cardiac telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and hospital policies

Schedule:

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• 72 hours per two-week period
• Holiday coverage may be required

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry nursing
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric patient populations preferred
• Previous float pool experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system (required)
• Strong adaptability and ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Certifications:

• BLS/BCLS required
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, TNCC, ENPC, STABLE, and others may be required or preferred depending on assignment
