Description
10H days, 4x a week. Every 3rd Saturday requirement. Infusion room will be closed 05/23, 05/25, 07/03-04, 09/05, 09/07, Thanksgicing, Christmas and New Years Day. RTO not requested at the time of submission WILL NOT BE APPROVED. Adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, or medical diagnosis requiring outpatient infusion services.. 1 unit, 25 infusion chairs. Seeing 60-110 patients/day. Prior travel preferred. 2 years experience with chemo admin required. ONS chemo provider card and BLS-AHA required. Actual # of patients per day varies based on the length of each treatment. Each nurse will be assigned 2-3 infusion chairs to cover for that shift. Please note: Nursing ratios are an estimate made in good faith and may vary by department/facility demands. Infusion rooom is attached to the hem/onc clinic and APP coverage is provided by the clinic. Orientation is 1 week. LHMC required forms/learning/competencies will be assigned prior to arrival. Epic experience is required. May float to Peabody. Floating is done by date of last float. It is rare to float, but it is a possibility based on staffing needs. Experience accessing and deaccessing IVADs, Experience with PICC lines, Experience starting peripheral IVs, Experience with Alaris infusion pumps. Unit specific procedures and protocols required for this unit. Chemotherapy administration, medical infusion administration, blood transfusions, use of Alaris infusion pumps, CADD pumps for home infusion therapy, phlebotomy, starting peripheral IVs, accessing/deaccessing IVAD. 25 chair ambulatory infusion center located within Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA. We provide infusion services for adult patients with hematology, oncology and medical conditions.
