Description
Certification Requirements:
•Active RN License (California or Compact if applicable) – Required
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
• Fetal Monitoring Certification – Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions, identifying abnormalities
- Support patients through all stages of labor, including induction, active labor, delivery, and recovery
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Experience Requirements:- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience – Required
- Experience managing laboring patients, including high-risk pregnancies
- Experience with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Ability to monitor fetal heart rate and contractions
- Experience in fast-paced, high-acuity L&D settings
- Ability to handle emergency situations independently
