Description
Job Title: Cardiothoracic Operating Room RN (CTOR RN) – Travel Assignment
Location: New York
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Two 10-Hour Shifts Per Week
Call Requirement: Up to 7 days of on-call per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
Radius Rule: 75 Mile Radius Rule Applies
Local Candidates: Accepted – Local rate applies for candidates residing within 75 miles
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse (CTOR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. This role is ideal for a skilled OR nurse with strong cardiovascular surgical experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year of CTOR RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s Degree
- Active New York State RN License required
- Experience working with adult patient populations
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Unit Details:
- Patient Population: Adult
- Number of Beds: 2
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Common Diagnoses:
- Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
- Aortic Stenosis (AS)
- Mitral Regurgitation (MR)
Technology & Systems:
- EPIC EMR
- Omnicell Medication Dispensing System
Additional Information:
- Floating may be required based on census needs
- Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during on-call assignments is essential
