Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)
Charlotte NC
Shift- M-F 7am-330pm
Facility Overview
- Licensed beds: CMC (874), LCH (247)
- Level I Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Teaching hospital, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center
Department Highlights
- High-volume imaging: 350-400 patients/day
- Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted
- Diverse team with lead tech, modality supervisor, Imaging Manager, and staff from new grads to long-tenured experts
- No floating required
- EMR: Epic
- Equipment: Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose, Konica and Shimadzu portables, Client and Siemens R/F rooms
Patient Population
Adults and pediatrics from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses. Fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Requirements
- BLS certification
- ARRT-R
- Confident clinical skills, strong communication, helpful attitude, and teamwork mindset
Shift & Scheduling Details (13-week contracts)
- Shift: 8-hour Day Shift (40 hours/week), M-F 7am-3:30pm
- On-Call: Fair rotation with full-time, part-time, PRN, and travelers; frequency based on team size
- Weekends: No weekday/weekend rotations; stays per contract
- Holidays: Expected to cover unless pre-approved off
- RTO: Manager approval
- 24/7/365 staffing; shifts assigned per contract needs (days, evenings, nights, or weekends)

- Facility and department tours with introductions
- 5 days departmental orientation (flexible based on traveler needs)
